FAQ

What do I need to pack?:

  • Bathing suits, sandals, yoga clothes. It will be hot and humid and we will be extremely active. You will want to be comfortable and cool.

  • Sunscreen and mosquito repellent (although they sell them on property)

  • Flashlight (you can use your cell phone)

  • Footwear appropriate for a hike

  • Earplugs (the ocean can actually be too loud for some folks, who knew!?)

  • Cash: dollars & pesos, Visa, Discover or Mastercard

  • Smiles, good intentions, a will to get fit (there are many many stairs on the property as we’re built on a steep terrain)

What don’t I need to pack?:

  • Yoga props (we have plenty of blankets, blocks, straps and anything else we will need for meditations, yoga and community sessions)

  • Tablets, Personal computers with work. *This week you can choose to disconnect and find internal peace.

  • American Express card (the resort doesn’t take it)

  • Stress and bad vibes (don’t worry, they will melt down the moment you step into the boat)

  • Hairdryers: as our electrical circuits are not designed to withhold high intensity electric devices.

  • Soap and shampoo, we provide guests with high quality biodegradable products that we recommend using, as we recycle water for irrigation.

  • Towels: we will provide you with shower and beach towels

Cancellation Policy:

This retreat entails a lot of coordination, international communication and planning. Cancellations will only be possible if made prior to April 8, 2024. Bookings made after that date will be non-refundable, and cancellations attempted after that date will not be accepted. It is recommended to purchase travel insurance that covers the activities of this retreat as well as unexpected cancellations, sicknesses, losses and any other incidents or risks.

Getting There:

In order to get to Xinalani, you will have to take a boat, there’s no access by road. Xinalani was designed for people in search of some kind of adventure, and unfortunately, is not accessible to people with limited mobility. To get there, you will have to travel by panga, a small (25-30 ft) fiber glass Mexican boat with an outboard engine. You will most probably wet your feet and knees as you will jump off the boat on to the beach alla Indiana Jones! The retreat center is built on a very steep terrain and there are many many stairs, and no elevator, which is let’s face it, a once in a lifetime opportunity to sweat, move and embrace what your body can do!

How far away is Xinalani from the Airport?
Xinalani stands about 20 miles south of Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR), it will take you minimum 45 min to get to the resort from the airport. Depending on boat traffic that day, it may require some waiting time (up to an hour) at the API Terminal Marítima pier. We will provide you with transportation to and from the airport and resort.

Check-in/Check-out:

Your flight must arrive in Puerto Vallarta before 4 pm to accommodate same day check-in at the resort. Your flight must depart after 11 am to give enough time to arrive at the airport.

COVID protocols:

Cancellations due to COVID will follow our standard cancellation policy. Please ensure you are in good health to participate in the retreat. The staff takes safety seriously and will be sanitizing and cleaning between guests.

Guest Health and Wellness:

This is a very active retreat. The location alone requires us to get on a boat and use the 176 stairs to get up and down to the different facilities and guest rooms. We will begin every day with Yoga and will be sitting on the floor in many settings. Additionally, we will be hosting a hike, a sweat lodge journey and a cacao ceremony, all of which require your bodies and hearts to be healthy. Please check with your medical provider to ensure this is the right retreat for you. You will be required to sign a waiver to participate in these activities.
